Marilyn Geer Rivera is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, U.S. Army veteran, and bilingual (English/Spanish) provider dedicated to caring for every patient who walks through her door. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Georgetown University. As founder of Primero Salud Primary Care, she built her practice on a simple belief: your race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, zip code, education, or income should never be a barrier to high-quality health care — nor should they limit your health outcomes.

Service has always been central to who Marilyn is. Her time in the Army shaped the way she practices medicine today, teaching her to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and build a positive, supportive team culture — skills she brings to every patient interaction and to the practice she leads. She's a lifelong learner who thrives across different areas of health care, equally comfortable collaborating with a team or working independently to get patients the answers they need.
